Testimony 26/02/06: Remember Carol?

Remember Carol? She was the girl with Rheumatoid Arthritis I told you about in October. I didn’t manage to catch up with her on my recent trip to Singapore. But I did manage to go the church service just before my flight back to Bandung. She was leading the worship. And how I was encouraged to see her jumping for joy while singing!

Too many times I pity myself for not being in the place I am comfortable at. But she? I imagine the pain at every joint in her thin body… but she chooses to jump and trades her pain for the joy of the Lord!

When everything is beyond our control, we can always choose our attitude, can’t we?

DREAMS determine DESTINY
ATTITUDE determines ALTITUDE

Testimony 25/02/06: Talipot Palm

I saw a few of them at Singapore Botanical Garden. I stood beneath and looked up… See how the Talipot Palm Trees flower! How many times do I feel unfruitful? How many times I think that I am not doing what God wants me to do? But may be I am just like the Talipot Palm I encountered. The tree normally blooms between the age of 30 to 80 year old. The one I saw showed off its majestic flowering at 79.

Do you often feel unfruitful? God knows the best season of our life. May be you are just another Talipot Palm waiting to bloom!
